I thought this was a great collection of erotic fairy tales. I've read some before, but this one really resonated with me. I liked that they weren't so overly done or over the top that I would have the eye roll going on. I'd suggest this to friends, along with Naughty Nights: Ellora's Cave.
OOOOOOOOh. This book is hot for sure. I have enjoyed this book so much. Imagine fairy tales from your childhood being played out with strong sexual overtones. Can be read alone or with someone. Surely there are some motivating ideas presented here.
However, to go this far why not go further. I read this cover to cover non stop, put this book down, and left disappointed. I am intrigued that someone could take these beloved fairy tales and add an adult twist to them. There was missed opportunity to take some of these stories to a further more evolved plot. This was nothing more than libido junk food.
I like the stories plots and how it was written. I personally thought the stories glossed over the most erotic parts. I don't care for how long the back story is before you get to the erotic encounter. One story had so much description of her settings and the bedroom and the bed that I was really bored and just wanted to get to the good stuff. I wanted some more graphic details. Overall I enjoyed the book and think that someone with less desire for pornography and more desire for romance would like this book.
The first five stories are the same story over and over: girl is taken away from family (who hasn't had that fantasy).to a sumptuous palace/castle/manse, enchanted male sneaks into her room or she into his. I am surprised to find that her research concluded that women's fantasies are centered around fairy tales. He takes her and in some way or other is transformed into a prince. I really didn't find the fantasies erotic for adults. Just did not do it for me.
